Historical Society of Ocean Grove has had an Ongoing project to restore the Angel of Victory

What a thrill it must have been to look down Main Avenue and see the Angel of Victory sitting majestically  before the sea, her wings silhouetted against the sky.  How wonderful it would be to experience that sight again as our grandparents and great-grandparents once did.

She was dedicated on the Fourth of July, 1878, the centennial of the Battle of Monmouth, to honor those who died in the battle and to commemorate our Victory in the Revolutionary War.  That victory has given us all such great freedom and prosperity.
