Dollhouses of the Past 2010 Exhibit at the
Historical Society of Ocean Grove Museum

"Playthings of the Past" is the theme of this year's exhibit. We plan to feature houses, gasoline stations, fire stations, circuses, western towns, etc. made of lithographed tin metal which were manufactured in the 1940's and 1950's. In addition there will be child size metal toys from the same time period. We already have a plane and are planning for a fire engine complete with ladder and hose. There is a wonderful selection offered for display so far, and they will be decorated in their holiday finery.

We don't want to give away too much more, so you'll just have to come and see for yourself. The show will be on display, Saturday December 4th, and during the Holiday Weekend Festival Saturday December 11th and Sunday December 12th. The exhibit will be available to view on the Saturdays between 10 AM and 4 PM and Sunday between 12 PM and 4 PM.
