The Museums of the Historical Society of Ocean Grove have a collection of approximately 15,000 artifacts and pieces relative to the history of Ocean Grove, the Holiness Movement, Camp Meetings, Methodism, Monmouth County and 19th Century Life.
The Main Museum is located at 50 Pitman Ave. and the Centennial
Cottage is located on the corner of McClintock and Central. The Museums
are dedicated to preserving the history of Ocean Grove, recording the history of Camp Meetings, and to recording aspects of the Victorian Age.
The museums' collections include approximately 1,000 books, an extensive collection of photographs from the early years of Ocean Grove, over 1,000 post cards, approximately 200 glass negatives, 50 maps, works of art and numerous pieces of 19th Century furniture.

The Museum of the Historical Society of Ocean Grove has worked
with the Smithsonian Institute, the Library of Congress, Artist's
Equity, the National Historic Trust, the New Jersey Historical
Commission and the Monmouth County Historical Commission in its
research, conservation, educational and preservation efforts and
programs. The Historical Society of Ocean Grove has received
an operating support grant for the New Jersey Historical Commission
, a division of the Department of State.
