Ocean Grove's Historical Society Membership
The Historical Society of Ocean Grove is a non-profit organization dedicated to the education, preservation and conservation of the history of Ocean Grove, NJ; Camp Meeting Life and the Holiness Movement and of 19th Century Life. The HSOG seeks to attain its goals through conservation and preservation programs, educational and special event programming and through assistance and informational programming. The HSOG, however, can not do this without the help of the community.
While the HSOG receives operating grants and mini grants from the Monmouth County Historical Association and the New Jersey State Historical Commission, it is through the donations and memberships received from the private and corporate sectors that the HSOG is able to accomplish its goals. These include the constant upkeep and maintenance of the historic buildings in he HSOG's charge, producing printed and video information, providing free special event programming, and maintaining the museums which operate solely on donations and grant funding. Your tax deductible membership dollars, therefore, go to help in providing these valuable programs and supporting the operations of the Historical Society of Ocean Grove - Where the Present Meets the Past.
